Having been out of the office for the last week, it's good to come back to:
- No new meetings added to my calendar
- No voicemail
- No fires
Ahhh.
I had the strangest idea that just for today, I should write all of my emails with caps lock on.
Not going to do it, but this idea appeals to me greatly.
Anyone else going to eTech this year? I am visibly excited.
Well, excited about everything except the seeming lack of group hotel rate. Got the group rate!
How do you take your tea or coffee?
Submitted by Vasquez.
I don't drink coffee unless the remaining prospects are all horrendous.
Tea-wise, I see three potential answers:
- Earl Grey: I take with sugar and cream; at certain establishments, I can forgo the cream.
- Green Tea: I take straight
- All other teas: I generally put sugar in.

While the tea selections aren't horrible, I am more of a hot chocolate drinker - and Flavia prisoners will be familiar with Choco, the hot chocolate work-alike. I take mine with two sugars and two creamers - and while this may sound disgusting to those of you never "blessed" with Flavia, believe me, it needs it.
I also just discovered that Flavia has a recipe exchange. Huzzah for new entertainment at work!
Every time I worry that I'm too nerdy, I can always take comfort knowing that my coworkers have the leg up on me.

On the other hand, perhaps I should get my new business cards to have my institution as "Medical College Medical College".
What's one thing that you hope to do or accomplish before the end of this year?
I'd really love to finish transitioning out of my existing job and into my new one by the end of the year. Yes, I'm supposed to be done transitioning by October 1 - but the odds of this happening seem slim.
I am certainly doing some things for the new position, but I'm feeling a lot of the same old stuff weighing down my daily routine.
